ParentPay / School Meals & School Trips

With effect from the 31st July ParentMail will no longer be available and instead we will be using a secure website called ParentPay.
We will use this system to send out trip letters, newsletters, urgent SMS messages and collect payment for school trips and school meals. You will be able to view your current balance for school meals and top up when convenient. An alert can be set up to warn you when your credit balance is running low.
We are asking all parents to register with ParentPay as soon as possible. Your child should have brought home a letter containing your login details. If you did not receive yours please contact the office. Some parents may already have an account with another school (Stanwell Comprehensive). Details of how to add a child to this account will be explained in your personalised introduction letter.
In an attempt to remove all cash and cheques from school we ask parents to use the secure website or pay in cash at local stores (PayPoints).
Please do not use the Vale of Glamorgan's payment service for school meals.
The Vale of Glamorgan's payment service (01446 700111 or www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk/payit) will still be available to make payments for music fees.
For further information or help please contact the office.
I would like to remind you of the importance of school attendance and our commitment to all pupils. We ask all parents to set the highest expectations for attendance for the term and the year ahead
Our target for your child is a minimum of 96% attendance this year
A copy of a table and chart illustrating the relationship between attendance and achievement at school is attached.
Rewards for good attendance are clear. Pupils are more likely to enjoy school, achieve better results and benefit from increased life chances. I will be updating you about your child’s attendance on a half termly basis.
Can I remind you that if you choose to take your child out of school for a holiday/birthday/visit, then the absence will be recorded as ‘unauthorised.’ There are rumours that parents can be fined for this and I wish to reassure you that whilst this is occurring in some English schools, it does not apply in Wales! However, please do not expect your child’s teacher to provide you with work if you take your child out of school.
